The section of Ring Road 3 passing through Long An is 6.8 km long with a total investment of over VND 4,200 billion. After two years of construction, it has reached nearly 77% completion and is expected to be technically opened to traffic in October this year.

At the interchange between Ring Road 3, the HCMC – Trung Luong Expressway, and the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway (located in My Yen Commune, Ben Luc District), infrastructure is gradually taking shape. Compared to one year ago, when many sections were still muddy and undeveloped, the roadbed has now been reinforced, with crushed stone laid and compacted.

Ring Road 3 has a total length of more than 90 km, running through Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Long An, with an overall investment of over VND 75,400 billion. In addition to improving inter-regional traffic connectivity, the project is expected to create an urban and industrial development corridor for the southern key economic region.

For the section in Long An, the total investment of over VND 4,200 billion covers both construction and compensation for land clearance and resettlement. Currently, the expressway portion has reached around 77% completion, while bridge construction is over 75% complete. Structures such as overpasses and U-turn bridges at the major interchange have been mostly completed, replacing the previous disorganized construction site.

Following the overpass is the connecting road between Ring Road 3 and the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway, which is nearly fully paved. A remaining section of more than one kilometer, from the triple interchange area to the HCMC – Trung Luong Expressway, is currently being filled and leveled.

The route passes through rice fields in Tan Buu Commune (Ben Luc District), where some sections have already been asphalted. As of midday on June 24, dozens of machines were actively compacting and paving the roadbed.

The project is being implemented in phases. In the first phase, the road will feature four lanes and parallel service roads, with a maximum design speed of 100 km/h. The entire Ring Road 3 project is scheduled to be fully completed by 2026.
